Good experience overall at Golden Corral Buffet & Grill. There was a good variety of food, most of it was fresh, and the staff kept the buffet area clean and organized. Service was friendly and the restaurant was fairly busy, but everything moved smoothly. A few items could have been warmer, but overall it was a good meal and I would come back.

So I was just watching a TikTok that reminded me of something that happened at this location and I realized I never shared my pretty terrifying experience here! A while back I actually choked on a chicken bone that was in the chicken gravy. It was a small enough piece that I somehow missed it when I put the spoonful in my mouth, but large enough to become lodged in my esophagus. At first I was still getting oxygen so I stood up and started making my way to the bathroom. Within a few steps it slid further down and I was actually choking. I ended up throwing up as I was sputtering and gasping for air and TWO employees nearby just stared at me, one walked away. Two patrons came running with napkins and asking if I was okay so that was nice. I made my way to the bathroom and cleaned up. I had mostly caught everything in my hands so there wasn’t much of a mess to clean up. While in the bathroom I realized I had actually coughed up the bone so I rinsed it off and took it back to my table. Someone quickly cleaned up what little there was on the floor. No one came to check on me. When someone came to offer to refill my drink I showed them the bone fragment and explained that I was sorry fo

The food was good and there was a great variety. The employees behind the counter were constantly replenishing the good and cleaning the area. Our waitress, Kaya (I believe that was her name) was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. Our children LOVED the desert area and appreciated the fact that the shark gummies were available. We loved the fruit options, the salad bar options, the main course options, the side options, and the desserts. It was all tasty for all ages in our group. I hope you love it, too!

This Golden coral was fantastic. We are from the RGV and usually try different GCs,but this one was on point. Good food selection it was also was hot and filled quickly. Dessert area was clean and lots to choose from. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and plenty of room. Our waitress Almita was very prompt. This is definitely our favorite and will return when visiting.

Golden Corral offers a large variety of food, which makes it easy to find something you’ll enjoy. Some of the meats were a bit dry, but still very good overall. The vegetables could use a bit more seasoning, and I found that making your own salad was much more flavorful. My absolute favorites were the fried chicken, pot roast, and ribs — especially the fried chicken, which was crispy, juicy, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The desserts were amazing. I tried the chocolate fudge, chocolate brownies, and chocolate ice cream with hot fudge — pure chocolate heaven and so, so good. That said, it does feel a bit pricey considering that only a few of the food options really stood out for me.
